I agree with her, and obviously we should, but I don't see significant steps in that direction.
In my view, in light of the cyber attacks on Western Democracies, we are currently at war.
In response to those attacks, Congress overwhelmingly approved new stronger sanctions against Russia.
The deadline for implementing those sanctions has come and gone.
Meanwhile, Western intelligence agencies say we can expect more of the same in the future, regarding cyber attacks.
Threatening a response is not a response. There must be real world consequences for cyber attacks.
And at the same time, we need to do everything possible to improve cyber security.
Until recently, I've seen very little done in that department as well.
Washington is too entrenched in crony capitalism to focus on keeping America cyber safe.
They've taken their eye off the ball.
Not to mention, most lawmakers are tech ignorant. They engage on social media, but wouldn't know a bit from a byte.
