I suppose each has his or her own reason. Character and personalities vary so much that one can't really pin something like that down.
Some are a bit aloof. Like they're in their own little world.
Plus, most of the reports we read are written by reporters. Not the researchers themselves.
Reporters aren't really qualified to answer questions regarding research.
It would be nice if they would steer people to those that could and are willing to answer reader's questions.
I agree. From what we've read, the brain is capable of change, even late in life.
It wasn't that long ago that they believed the opposite. They thought once a person was past a certain age, no more significant change was possible. We now know that isn't so.
