The vast majority of climate scientists all over the world agree that Man's activities are, at the very least, a major factor in climate change.
In my mind, if Man is the main cause, or just a contributing factor, isn't all that relevant. Even if just a contributing factor, we are accelerating and exacerbating climate change. Quite possibly to the extent that the planet won't be able to compensate.
To me that means, no matter what people believe about the issue, the solution is the same.... We have to change our ways.
And yes, geoengineering does sound dangerous.
I'm one that thinks we need to live in harmony with nature. Not try to force it to submit to our needs or will.
More often than not, altering nature's course creates as many if not more problems than it was intended to correct.
I believe we can ride this out if we stop our polluting ways. The planet itself will help, but it doesn't really play favorites. How Man fares isn't high on the list of the planet's priorities.
