Can scientist find the stem cells that bulid human nervous systems?

January 25, 2018
Source:
The Zuckerman Institute at Columbia University
Summary:
Scientists have uncovered new insights into how stem cells transform into brain cells that control leg movements. The surprising details of this process, observed in the brains of fruit flies, could shed light on how the human brain develops -- and what happens when problems arise. By providing key insight into how stem cells develop and mature, this research should help scientists in their quest to use stem cells to heal.

For some odd reason, the two bottom links were jumbled together. I did my best to separate them, but wasn't successful.
In the process I did find this: https://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2018/01/180125135604.htm?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed%3A%20sciencedaily%2Fhealth_medicine%2Fstem_cells%20%28Stem%20Cells%20News%20--%20ScienceDaily%29

I don't know if that's the piece you intended or not.

It was interesting either way.
They're using fruit flies to learn how the brain functions, and how it rebuilds after an injury.
That could lead to some regenerative treatments for humans.

For me, the one science daily link gives a 404 error, and the other leads to a main page, not to a specific article, and I didn't see anything on that page related to your question.

I started reading and searched for more information. I wanted to share all I learned. The link you had is right. It was also on Futurism on Tweeter.
