Yes, some of those were pretty creepy.
Humans like well defined lines of distinction so we can determine what is and what isn't a threat.
We don't like grey areas. They make us uncertain and uncomfortable.
In short, it's instinctual. A self defense mechanism.
Some CGI in movies can have a similar effect on people.

I hope it's a good one too. You might remember the one I bought stinks. It beats the cloths threadbare and still doesn't get them clean. It's a Kenmore.
My new lawnmower blew up too. It was a Toro.
They just don't make things like they used to.
I wish I could go back in time and buy pre 1970 products.

I'd like a robot who helps me with housework and my son. I find moving funiture, lifting heavy bags of clean close up to flights exhausting. Putting everything away changing closets for different seasons is all time consuming. Recently my son stuffed on drain and flooded the basement. We had drain flied as a result and a flooded finish basement. Most are gone. Yesterday my five year old washing machine broke. The appliance place we used for years recommended a Speed King and it is very expensive. MY husband went to order it and wanted me to stay with my son. I pray it is good.
