Probes or landers that produce their own propellant from native resources would be great.
They'd continue to operate until they broke down mechanically.
Of course, this particular method would only be viable in low gravity environments, but there are a lot of those out there. I also like the "hopping" idea. That will work well in rough terrain.

Off topic: Remind me not to go shopping on Fridays. It took me 3 times longer than usual. Plus I had to stand outside in the cold for an hour.

I don't recognize the names of those places, other than Trader Joe's.
We have a Cub Foods here that stocks a lot of organics and GMO free products.
All my veggies, fruits, and nuts are organic.
So is my beloved ketchup.
I don't shop often.
The last time I went was 8 1/2 weeks ago.

If you go Friday morning it is OK. People leave early on Friday and pick up a quick dinner.
A new Lidil opened here. Strange store. I like Trader Joe's better but, some prices are good. Their in our new expanded mall. They do have soft pencils that my son likes and decent muffins but, their not organic and too sweet. I usually eat oatmeal for breakfast. They have some organic food. No cosmetics. Not even toothpaste.
Tim Hortons has good blue berry muffins and coffee but it is not organic. The owner wanted 5o cents for water and the company apologized.
